Also known as a ciel de lit, this canopy in carved wood and gold leaf is a decidedly romantic accessory.
It should be fixed to the wall above the headboard at a height of approximately 2.20 m.
Curtains should be hung from this canopy, usually higher than the height at which the canopy was hung, in order to create a soft drape by gathering them at the sides.
Curtains generally need to be light, such as tulle, lace, or voile.
