The sale includes the entire pair, consisting of two original, identical, and perfectly coordinated armchairs. This is a true rarity, as it is increasingly difficult to find two authentic armchairs from the same era, belonging to the same model, and both in excellent condition.

The finely crafted wooden frame features a delicate bleached finish, highlighting the carvings and giving the armchairs a bright, refined, and slightly worn look. The contoured backrests, rounded armrests, scrolls, and curved legs recall the elegance of classic Neapolitan style.

The upholstery is made of fine embossed damask cotton piqué in a delicate ivory hue. The fabric's unique weave creates an elegant tone-on-tone pattern, visible when held up to the light, which enhances the armchairs without detracting from their aesthetics.

HISTORY AND RESTORATION

These armchairs were recovered by us from a castle that once belonged to an ancient Neapolitan noble family, and therefore hold an authentic history, linked to the elegance of Neapolitan aristocratic residences.

The wooden frame originally had a walnut finish. In our workshops, we carefully restored it, expertly bleaching the wood while fully respecting the armchairs' shapes, carvings, and original character.

The new finish, lighter, brighter, and more delicate, was chosen to make this precious pair more versatile and easily matched with different furnishing styles: from classic and romantic settings to shabby chic, contemporary, and modern interiors.

In this way, we have preserved the authenticity and historical charm of the armchairs, while at the same time giving them a new elegance, capable of fitting harmoniously even into today's homes.
